We are aware of the communtiy concerns of the railway being run along a portion of Montgomery county, so we are closely following this story. Here is the latest news, on February 17th the Texas Central Railway announced its final recommendation on a route. TCR recommended to the Texas Railroad Commission a route from Houston to Dallas that runs along highway 290 and the utility corridor. The previous plan included a route that would run through areas of Montgomery County including Magnolia, but was apparently scraped when 800+ residents came out in opposition against the preposed route on Feb 2nd.
